So
we had our ward Christmas party this weekend
& about 20 min before it started I remembered I needed to bring cookies.
Luckily my parentals had some premade cookie dough
which I hijacked.

But when I put them on the plate they looked
well
lame.
So I went all Martha Stewart
and decided to wrap the plate in wrapping paper.

It may have been a poor paper choice because
as my husband pointed out
it looks a lot like tin foil.
But I think they idea is good in general.
Plus there was an extra cookie just for me.

Beauty over quantity...
and quality, right?

p.s.- my head wrap is from Plumb, my sister-in-law's boutique.

A word about Insurance (cue phantom music)

and would like to share it here,

because this is my blog

and I like to share things that are important to me,

and this is of the upmost importance these days.

I have been working as an insurance biller for a number of years now. An alaraming number of patients that I have worked with do not understand the basic structure of their insurance plan. This is frightening, considering the current, pending healthcare reforms. I created this diagram to help the patients I work with and would like to share it here. I will be posting more insurance related information in the future that will hopefully serve as a basic understanding of insurance and "the bigger picture" of its effects on our economy. This is not a debate on healthcare reform. If you have a solid understanding of insurance, which I appreciate, and find these posts unwanted, simply do not read them.

The figures for this diagram are hypothetical. Your plan may have a 70/30 or 90/10 coinsurance; or your deductible may be upwards to $10,000. Copays, of course, are ever varying.

So good news, I saw a dog today.

2nd skirt accomplished!

My Aunt Cindy and I have been working tirelessly on this little number for weeks now.
It has pleats and pockets!

And its a grood thing that I'm learning to sew because Calpal and I went to Scottsdale today
and I found a lot of cuuuute skirts and tops that I want to attempt...
perhaps a little later in my sewing career of course :)
